The return of the late-night talk-shows. The W.I.F.E. and the Beard.

Posted in Uncategorized by ruthanzo on January 3, 2008

it was mighty generous of Letterman to let striking writers air their grievances last night when he could have been running ads for walk-in tubs with ed mcmethuselah (what happens if you open the door on one of those things when they’re full?). i read on huffpo and counterpunch that the big networks are saving lotsa bucks. u.s. networks/government, what’s the diff? i wish i could afford a couple of writers to help me out with this blog. dal soup is the only currency used at p.i.t.s.o.l.. .did Leno’s W.I.F.E. (acronym for writers in financial embarrassment?) really ‘help’ with the monologue?

i like Letterman’s beard. it makes him look more manly. to me he always resembled an ‘old boy’ whereas Macca just looks like an ‘old woman.’ i wish i could grow one.

the u.s. government should seize the profits made by the networks on the backs of the writers to pay for the wars and bail out the homeowners. i’m sure that if people could hear me say this i’d get elected.

i concur with michel here but he’d turn back the clock too far and we’d be left with 4 wheels on a gravel road. i’m still ok with a 4×4 on blacktop (with the option of going offroad) though i would be in favor of turning off the tv and reading more stclair lewis.

could one’s wife be a ‘beard?’ wouldn’t she have to be a ‘board?’ broad?
which brings us back to bread.
